We will be screening GUNDERMANN directed by Andreas Dresen on September 6th in Schloss Wiepersdorf Park.
The film was awarded six German film prizes in 2019.
Andreas Dresen and script writer Laila Stieler take a look at the vanished country East Germany through the real life story of a bulldozer driver,
who wrote songs, was a poet and idealist, a do-gooder and an informer.
With keen sensibility, affection and humor, they depict episodes from the life of Gerhard “Gundi” Gundermann,
who died in 1998 at the age of 43.
