ITERATION – A project by Cick in Dunt
Thursday, 25 April, 2024, 3.00 p.m.
Galerie Jägerschere, Wiepersdorf - Dorfstr. 17, 14913 Niederer Fläming

The group Cick in Dunt, Anna Cherepanova and Vitalii Cherepanov, is currently spending a residency as part of the Goethe-Institut's Culture Moves Europe program, working at Jägerschere gallery and living in Schloss Wiepersdorf. Both were born in Russia and currently live in the EU. Their art forms include performances, street art, digital art, video art, music production and more. They are currently working on sculptures and paintings for their project Iteration. This will be presented on 25 April, 3:00 p.m. at Jägerschere gallery, and it will also be shown at the Spring Festival on 26 May in Schloss Wiepersdorf. Iteration is about the “two” as a repetition, as secondariness, as imitation, as relation, as a symbol, and it deals with the artistic work in a duo.

OSCILLATIONS. CAPE TOWN - BERLIN

The exhibition shows sound art created by artists from South Africa and Germany during a two-year process. They share their listening experiences, reveal fractures in South Africa’s post-apartheid society, offer modes of transformation and question the ownership of sound in a postcolonial frame of reference. The ten oscillations artists are Muhammad Dawjee, Garth Erasmus, Zara Julius, Nkosenathi Ernie Koela, Christina Kubisch, Mpho Molikeng, Gabi Motuba, Neo Muyanga, Denise Onen, Kirsten Reese.

The artists will be spending a group fellowship in Wiepersdorf from 30 April to 3 May.

RIOT DAYS – PUSSY RIOT

The performance Riot Days - Pussy Riot will focus on the group's protests through to their trials and prison sentences, as well as current events relating to Russia's war against Ukraine. One year after their stay at Schloss Wiepersdorf, the feminist protest and performance group from Moscow is returning to southern Brandenburg for their European tour Riot Days - Pussy Riot.

The event, which is supported by Schloss Wiepersdorf Cultural Foundation, is taking place as part of the The Drop Out: Tell Them I Said NO festival organised by E-WERK Luckenwalde.

CAFÉ, MUSEUM AND PARK

The Café in the Orangery and the Museum in Schloss Wiepersdorf will open this year on May 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. on International Museum Day. Opening hours during the summer months are Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The castle park can be visited all year round. Thanks to our open air “Kosmos Wiepersdorf” you can walk a tour on your own and get information via QR Codes.
