READING: UNESCO WORLD POETRY DAY – A CELEBRATION OF POETRY

On World Poetry Day, Wiepersdorf fellow AVRINA will take part in the annual reading at the Haus für Poesie. Other participating poets are Petr Borkovec, Georg Leß, Rachel McNicholl, María Negroni und Seda Tunç.
A joint event by Haus für Poesie, German Commission for UNESCO, Akademie Schloss Solitude, DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program, the Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf, Czech Literary Centre, and Internationales Künstlerhaus Villa Concordia in Bamberg.

PERFORMANCE: „TO MOM, I WANT TO …“ (WORK IN PROGRESS)

The Berlin-based collective Nomadic Minutes consists of the artists CAO Kefei, ZHOU Niannian, ZHANG Deng and LIU ShiYu. They were born in China in four different decades, live and work in Germany and are active in artistic creation and cultural exchange between the two continents. “To Mom, I want to …” is a co-creation with author and playwright Jiayun Zhuang, who lives in China and the USA.

In March, the following artists and writers have started their residencies in Wiepersdorf, Dr. Gunnar Decker (Science / Topics focusing on the previously divided Germany), Jeanna Kolesova (Fine arts), Kaj Osteroth (Fine arts), Nora Weinelt (Science / Romanticism) Lukas Zittlau (Science / Topics focusing on the previously divided Germany). A warm welcome!

APPLICATIONS FOR 2026
You can apply for a fellowship in 2026 until 15 April 2025. National and international artists and academics from the fields of literature, science (Romanticism or Science/Topics focusing on the previously divided Germany), visual arts and composition are eligible to apply.
