FELLOWS IN 2025

An independent jury nominated the 14 artists and academics who will each complete a three-month fellowship at Schloss Wiepersdorf between March and November 2025. These fellowships are funded by the state of Brandenburg.

The following artists and scientists were selected by the jury out of 815 applications from 72 countries:

Science/Topics focusing on the previously divided Germany: Dr. Gunnar Decker, Priya Kumari, Lukas Zittlau, Science/Romanticism: Tabea Lamberti, Nora Weinelt, Literature: Luna Ali, Paula Fürstenberg, AVRINA, Visual arts: Jeanna Kolesova, Gala Hernández López, Kaj Osteroth, Composition: Gerhardt Müller-Goldboom, Dorothee Schabert, Ying Wang.

The jury consisted of Prof. Dr Iwan-Michelangelo D'Aprile and Dr Martina Wernli as well as Dr Ilko-Sascha Kowalczuk and Dr Mandy Tröger for science, Andreas Platthaus and Brigitte Helbling for literature, Katia Reich and Prof. Sandra Schäfer for visual arts, and Heike Hoffmann and Jens Schubbe for composition.

APPLICATIONS FOR FELLOWSHIPS IN 2026

You can apply for a Fellowship in 2026 from February 15 until April 15. National and international artists and academics from the fields of science (Romanticism or Science/Topics focusing on the previously divided Germany), literature, visual arts and composition are eligible to apply.

OBITUARY FOR DR REINHARD ANDERS

Dr Reinhard Anders died on 12 January at the age of 84 after a long illness. The Meinsdorf resident, who was a connoisseur of the lives and works of Bettina and Achim von Arnim, had long been associated with Schloss Wiepersdorf. He championed Wiepersdorf as a cultural venue and gave guided tours of the castle museum.

CAFÉ, MUSEUM AND PARK

The Café in the Orangery and the museum of Schloss Wiepersdorf are closed during the autumn and the winter time. The castle park can be visited all year round. Thanks to our open air “Kosmos Wiepersdorf” you can walk a tour on your own and get information via QR Codes.
