OBITUARY FOR JÜRGEN BECKER
We mourn the loss of Jürgen Becker, an outstanding writer and an endearing, warm-hearted person. His first novel and his preoccupation with German-German history in the 1990s, as well as numerous visits, connect him with Wiepersdorf.
According to his publisher Suhrkamp, Jürgen Becker died in Cologne on November 7 at the age of ninety-two.
