Andrea Hensgen: Ein Käfig ging einen Vogel suchen

Picture book reading for children from 3 years and adults
A young, empty cage, which does not yet know much about the world, wishes that a bird would live in it. Then from far away, where there are no cages, a curious bird comes flying, straight into the cage. The old cat in the yard is already looking forward to the easy catch, without suspecting what a stout-hearted cage and a strong bird can achieve together. Loosely based on Franz Kafka, Andrea Hensgen tells a timeless story about friendship and freedom in "Ein Käfig ging einen Vogel suchen" (Knesebeck 2022). With illustrations by Mehrdad Zaeri.

Andrea Hensgen is currently working as a fellow at Schloss Wiepersdorf. On the last Sunday before the summer vacations, she will present her new children's book " Ein Käfig ging einen Vogel suchen" in Schloss Wiepersdorf for children aged 3 and older and adults.
